Ok so I don't have as much loose income as some of you may have so up until recently, i didn't own a wakeboard. I had been to a cable park nearby and my skills are rapidly increasing. I used the ronix equipment they had there and got consistent and confident with ramps, grabs, boxes, and rails. What I'm wondering is how different this 2010 system 135 will feel. What should I expect when edging, sidesliding, hitting ramps and rails?

You an probably expect your board to wear out within a few months if it doesn't have a grind base.

What about the whole thing about it being a boat board?

Doesn't matter. It will probably wear out before that becomes an issue. Cable boards generally don't have so many channels and molded fins. You don't need fins on a rail or a ramp. Cable boards are generally more flexible for pressing. A boat board can still hit all that stuff. But the bottom will wear faster or the edges will start to split.
