so how many coats of teak oil do u guys apply at the begining of a season

I just put one coat on at the end of the day while cleaning the boat. Never really thought about the beginning of the season though. I guess I'll put on one.

I sand it down and apply 3 coats.

What grit of sandpaper do you guys use to sand your teak down with? Do you scuff it up or do you sand it down so it's smooth? I have to do mine this month.

I sand it with 80 grit then like 220 with a palm sander, then wash it to get all the dust off it, then wash it with teak cleaner stuff (I can't remember the name) let it dry. Then lut 3 coats of teak oil on it. Make sure you let it dry in between each oil. If you have any loose peices on it use Gorilla glue.
