why those 2 particular cameras?

as for the ewa housing...i don't trust my cam in a ziploc bag. (i know they're stronger than ziploc, but still....)

Mr. Umali,

Those are the two that stuck out the most to me. What do you recommend? Cam and Housing?

Well my church Children and Youth ministires department uses the GL-2 and they like it so I was looking into those.

And the sony was at my local camera store next to the Gl-2.

I dont know anything about these kind of cameras
all I know is a 3CCD is the best.

actually, hdv is the best.

if a 3-chip camera is a requirement, add dvx100b to your list.

as for waterhousing, click here.

I just sold my gl2 but i had an ewa housing and it worked great. i also have one for my Z1. Don't compare them to a ziplock bag, i haven't had any issues with either. The one good thing is that you have acsess to every button. So unless you are going to be doing some deep see diving i would recomend it.

Thanks,

So I will probably get a ewa housing or a Epic when i go to get a camcorder.

So now its just figuring out what camera.

i wouldn't get an epic either. basically, you can turn it on and off and that's it.

Lol

OK what housing can zoom and that other stuff and that is pretty cheap?

Is there a good site to compare Camcorders?

I have and epic housing and a EWA housing. The EWA is much better for weight, and not getting bonked in the head on the turnaround.... I have more problems with the Epic leaking around the clamp too... I'm working with them to get a new clamp but if you over tighten the clamp even a small amount it kinks and mine leaks. I love the Epic for surfing and playing in the pool... it helps me float... both are really nice and I use GL2's in both. Neither are rated for underwater stuff beyond a few meters.

i suggest(sp?) the panasonic dvx100b. great camera, 24p, but it might be just out of your price range (around 3g).
