discountcolumbias.com

Is this one of those too good to be true websites? My wife ran across this website yesterday and asked me to check it out. My red flags are no phone number in contact us, everything is one price, and the contact email is a gmail account. I also pulled the domain whois and the phone number listed is out of China. These are enough red flags for me to say no. Anyone dealt with this website?

It may be legit, but it's mroe than likley fake stuff. If your worried enough to post something, might be a good idea to pay a little mroe for piece of mind. savin a few bucks ( 50-100) may not be worth the potential headaches associated with identity theft......

no, even legit places you have to be skeptical, funny thing is that the good stuff comes from china and the rip-offs come from china too.

I happen to know a little bit about the web and... Here's WHY YOU SHOULDN'T buy from this site... When you add something to your cart and click to checkout the login page where you enter your name, addy, phone, email, password, etc is not an httpS: url... This means the site doesn't have an SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) this allows secure communication of sensitive information across the internet. Now I didn't venture past this page, but I'm willing to bet that after they steal your name, address, etc that the page you put your CC# into will also not be Secure...

Secondly, since I work with Columbia through my own online retailer website I can tell you they require you use a Registered Trademark with ALL notations of the company name "Columbia". This site uses it nowhere, and knowing how picky Columbia is, they wouldn't let this go for more than a day or two... Not saying that's a make or break thing, but its definitely a red flag... I'm sure if you kept looking there's more red flags, but really how many do you need!? I'd steer clear.

Wow. I would have thought it was an up and up site. I suppose I should pay more attention to what you're talking about beach.

I bought my P90X from ebay. It looked good, the seller had good ratings, and the price was right. In the end, it works and it's complete, however, the accompanying book has mispellings and the print is poor in some spots. Also, a few of the DVD's have an issue here and there. Nothing show stopping, but it looks like a knock off and the quality is not what I would expect from a US company, which has to warranty their product.
