I'm sure this topic has been covered before, but can anyone give a step by step instruction on how to hit a double-up as a rider? I know how to drive one, just don't know when to cut and which roller to try to hit. I've heard as a beginner, you should try to hit the first roller and that you start cutting as it goes under the transom of the boat. And that you basically try to get in the trough of the roller and ride it all the way into the D-up. Is this right on or am I way off? Thanks.

pretty much got it covered, riding the trough, spotting the dup is crucial. I personally think the second one is easiest.....and trust me when you think you should be cutting, wait one more second.

Good call mike, whenever I think I'm going to get booted, i come up empty, but when I think I'm going to miss, I get booted. Just start slow, don't edge too hard, and focus on hitting the DU, then progress

I start my cut when the roller I want hits the bow.
