Here's a long shot: Anyone here ever get to ride at the West Island of Montreal? I'm looking at property close to Lake St-Louis in the Dorval or Pointe-Claire area. Is that part of the lake OK for riding in terms of depth, water turbulance and quality?

Also, does anyone know of a slalom course in that area?

Thanks!

Although I've never riden in LSL, I hear the conditions are better around Ile Perrot. Stop by Gooch surf shop in Pte Claire village. He has or used to have a Malibu docked in the bay. He must know where the riding is good.
If it works out, drop me a line, I'll ride with ya.

I grew up on the West Island (in Dorval) and that part of the lake is wide open. Way too many rollers. It down right sucked. Unless of course there is no wind and you ride very early. I would follow fruitguy's advice and look at options upriver.
