when installing a new impeller on my pcm gt40, does it matter wich direction the blades face when the impeller is in the pump, or will it correct itself in the right direction when the engine is started?

Steve it's best to put it back with the blades of the impeller facing the same way as it was before also put a lite coat of grease in the housing and some anti seize compound on the shaft before putting the new one in. I live in Vancouver too where do you put your boat in. I go to yale and Merwin.
