I wanted the Fly High pump setup (as my current pump is cracked/leaking and I'm not ready to do a full auto-ballast until this winter), but thought $100 was a bit steep for what it was. I ended up piecing together everything to make the same setup (with better hose/clamps) for less money.

Pump ($32.48):

Power Cord ($7.01):

Hose (9') ($13.41):

Clamps (2) ($1.98):

Pump Quick Disconnect ($6.99):

Hose Quick Disconnect ($5.99):

Order the Amazon stuff together and all shipping is free. Shipping for the Wakemakers stuff was $5.95. Grand total: $73.81

Saves you $26 over buying the Fly High Pump package, and you get a much nicer hose in the process, and better hose clamps. I purchased all of this minus the power cord, as I had old 12V power plugs and wire laying around I used instead, which made this even less costly to put together.

Putting it together is really easy. The Attwood pump comes with more threads than you need, so you can either keep it long or simply saw off the end and make it as short as you want.

For the wiring, just cut off the end, strip the wires, solder to the Atwood pump wires and heat shrink it. Or you could butt connector and electrical tape it as well, but that's not as soild / professional as I would want for something I'm throwing in the water a lot.

I figured this might be useful for those that don't mind a few minutes of wiring to save themselves some money.

Great job. You better be carful with those stainless clamps. They are not to friendly around gelcoat, vinyl and fat sacs

I think mine was only $80 through my local dealer. He discounts everything for people that have bought a boat from them.

I did the same thing accept I used the "premium ballast hose" because 1) it coils up better 2) you can see into it to make sure things are pumping. Also, I used the crimp on clamps which have no sharp edges. The end result is better than the off the shelf fly high pump because the cheap vinyl hose on those kinks and doesn't roll up well.
