I'm the same, I had my lucky board shorts that I first landed almost all of my heavier tricks in. Then the last time I wore them riding I broke my ankle.... Not so lucky

Tyson-They still are your "first time" boardshorts. I am assuming that was the "first time" you broke your ankle...So they are still lucky.

I still have the boardshorts and a-10 jet pilot vest that the peramedics cut off me when I broke my neck. Not really lucky but more of a reminder haha

Dakota, (sorry not to thread jack) how do you find wearing a brace for your ankle works? I went to the doctor and my ankle hasn't healed at all, even after 3 months... When next season comes around. A brace is what I'm considering. What do you use? Does it effect the comfort of the boot?

might just consider a stiffer boot (too) if you are not already using a stiffer high-cut boot
