Ok I have a question. Why is it so hard to find high-end boards from recent years.

Specifically, I would like to find a 2004 CWB absolute 141. DBS lists it on their site but I'm skeptical. I e-mailed them to ask if they truely have the board but I havn't heard back yet.

So, here is my broader question: Do manufacturers recall unsold boards each year or are retailers really just that good at estimating how many they will need?

Cool,

Thanks Clay. I do check E-bay from time to time. I have been outbid twice on an Absolute. I will be bidding on this one.

Glen,
I was in my local shop about 2 weeks ago and overheard a customer calling in asking for a certain board. Well, the shop was out of them, and the worker told the customer they will not be ordering any more '05s because they don't want to get stuck with leftover inventory (they have to sell it at or below cost).

On that note - I've got a present for ya...

hey thanks Chris,

I monitor that evogear site. They don't have the 2004 141.

I may also try to find a bargain on a 2005 platinum late in the season this year. That was my plan for the 2004 too but by the time I started looking they had all ben snapped-up

Glen. I found you a 2004 Platinum 141 Absolute for $340.00 plus shipping ($20-$25)

Ask for Brian or Ben if you are interestd.

I ride the same board and love it.

Thanks J-ROD,
I'm going to try and bid on the '04 on e-bay first. I think if I don't win I will just try to find a deal during the end-of-season sales on an '05 platinum.

What bindings do you ride with your Platinum?
