What Should I be Riding?

I am 5' 11" and weigh 190 and am 45 years old. I am looking for a new board. I am an intermediate rider. Does any one have any suggestions as to what I should buy. Thanks in advance.

if i were you i would buy a bigger board (140-145 cm) because you would get more out of the board. my brother is 6'0" and 190lbs. and rides a 135 but he likes it. so the best thing would be to demo a board if possible

if i were working at a shop right now i would put you on a Hyperlite premier 141, ERA 140 Belmont 141 or Liquidforce Balance 141, Substance 141, or GatorBoards Caddy 142 or the New Ricky G 141, the ERA Substance and Ricky G are all very similar riding boards with a little different looks. I have my Dad on the Caddy 142 he is 52yrs he is about 195 and 6ft tall he is an awesome skiier and the caddy seems to me a good starting board, when the new Ricky G comes out ill probly get him on that too and see what he says, because he tried the old premier 140 and liked it but shyed away from the continuous on the belmont

I'm 6'2 210 and I ride a liquid force team 139(I'm not that good but I like the board)I just put some 1.0 rainbow fins in the center and I really like the board alot....

im 5 11 and about 190 pounds (but im 16)
go a jobe insight, or a jobe alpha.
there very very nice boards to have a bash on

no doubt, the TFD 142. to me, it is the easiest board to progress on. the continuous rocker is very forgiving.

hey jeff i have the same setup as you, only i just got my team during the winter and have only ridden it once, it was a damn cold ride though so i didnt get to try it out much, hows it been riding for you?

Jerry- Do you want a board with pretty solid tracking ability and is quick and easy with edge-to-edge transfers for turning, or a looser board that isn't as edgy? That's going to be important to determine before taking recommendations. Also, if you're riding behind a boat with a small wake, a board with a continuous rocker will be best because the pop will be more consistent and easier to time. But, if you want a more vertical kick and/or work with a fairly large wake, a board with a 3 stage rocker pattern might be a better way to go. I'd stick with a board in the range of a 138-143cm in length, regardless.
