It's Malibu's new 278... It's supposed to be the next big thing since the 247. I don't know if the steering wheel, gelcoat pattern, and tower are indicative, but we'll see in a few months what this beast is I'm sure!

The dash looks very Malibu to me. Mastercraft kinda has that pod thing going. I read somewhere that they are making a VTX that is close to the size of a vlx. I don't really know any deteails or it what I heard is reliable but it could be that boat. From seeing it you should be able to tell if it was in 21 ft range or 27 (I am guessing off of the 278 model number) ft. range. The tower windshield thing is pretty cool though. I think it makes things alot cleaner looking.

None of the above guys... Keep guessing though. A quick indicator that it isn't Malibu or Master Craft is the fact that the tower is a Pro Flight.

If it was mastercraft there would be at least 15 custom billet pieces visible (justifying the high pricepoint)... That boat looks SUPREMEly awesome!

Epic was working on a 21 footer. MB is making the f23 tomcatt but it has a picklefork design. So I dont think that is what it is. The gelcoat looks similar to a Ski Supreme but I know nothing about that company. I think Sanger uses proflight towers so I am guessing a sanger.

Aren't Centurion and Supreme made fairly close to Modesto? And Don't they use Pro Flight Towers?

One item that is unique to most boat companies is their pylon shape. By the looks of that pylon it is a Supreme. These pictures are off the Supreme website. The dash is dead on and this is the best picture of the pylon i could find.

OOOOOOhh, I know, I know, but I am not telling either. All of you guys are wrong though. I'll give you a hint though it has nothing to do with a new boat at all...... You might see Mr. Buffalow out on the delta with this new set up though......

OK if it doesn't have anything to do with the boat, then it's a new Tower by Proflight? Is there something else in the picture that i'm missing? I assume your saying that Buff will have this new tower on his boat soon.

Well currently Pro Flight is the factory tower for Sanger, Ski Centurion, Supreme & Reinell. I'd definately agree that it looks like a Supreme but who knows, maybe Reinell is stepping to the plate, whoopty doo..

Actually that is a new boat and new tower. We were on it yesterday. It is all some fresh stuff for next year, but too early to release any info on it yet. We have more testing today on it.

I can't believe people are still guessing. It's a Supreme. And the Tower is Proflight, which is probably why it was in Modesto.

Who cares the tower has no appeal to me. All it means to have an integrated tower is now you have to replace the windshield if you have tower issues... Thanks but i'll pass...

Honestly, the integrated tower doesnt look appealing. I like the bulky look of the tower and how it sticks out of the hull, adds more effect. As far as function, I dont think that adds any performance to the boat. Now people can brag "my boat has a tower that is also a windshield, now I get 2ft more air on every tindy grab I do".

dont most of your guys towers shake while driving over bumps and d-ups. ours does at least and if our tower was attached to our windshield like that it would be shattered.

We put it through some more tests yesterday out on our beloved Delta. The tower is crazy stong. No noises and No flex. Our elbows were sore after a short set because there is no give in this tower. Combine Non stretch rope + non stretch tower=sore elbow, but tons of line tension. I cranked it side to side and way out to the side of the boat, and nothing! Pretty impressive for a first version.

Looks like a similar idea to what Dave Triano(Toyota Epic Designer) had. I believe his design had more cross bracing across the front of the tower though.

I must say, whoever said it has the look of an I/O, I agree. And since it's coming from Modesto, I would not be all that surprised to see if it was in fact a Reinell. Then again, I'm probably way off.

It has the same gelcoat art style, same steering wheel, same dash, same OEM tower mfg (proflight), same v-drive tow-pylon, and same gas-fill location as a Supreme. It's a Supreme. end of story. And I must say, I think I could shatter that window too!! I'm sure the R&D on that thing is amazing, but still... anything involving a pane of glass and a structure that is supposed to have a certain amount of flex worries me. One downside: you can never switch towers...

The glass floats in the frame of the tower. I think if it were going to break or crack it would have done it during the triple ups we were cranking for a day or having me pull it from side to side. Not saying it is impossible to crack, but not likely. The guys at Taylor have spent a ton of time and money working on this and testing the crap out of it. This is still first design stage, so I am sure there will be many more changes when it is all said and done.

JB I have to ask WHY are they attempting to make towers/windshields integrated?? only thing i can think of is to eliminate gel coat stress and maybe to get around tower patents W/O making towers like the illusion??

How 'bout just cause it's potentially a new fresh idea with cleaner lines? Not sure, but progression has to start somewhere and ithink they are trying to figure it out. Give them props for spending time and money trying to do something different.

I am thinking that a tower integrated into the windshield would be crazy stiff. Think about all the attachment points that thing has to the hull. Rather than the typical "four points" it has almost an entire halo effect. The only thing I see being a possible problem is the idea that there may need to be some flex, for both the rider and the boat. I am imagining coming down from a trick with some slack and getting the familiar handle pop, only waaay harder. When I was into street racing the name of the game was transferring all the energy to the tires, thus a super stiff chassis. The result was a ton of rattles and super rough ride. I am definitely curious to see how this works out and what the effects are. I have a ton of respect for anyone with a new and different idea.
