Im looking to upgrade from a i/o ive found a couple boats close by and Im curious which boat would make the best wake for boarding.

http://www.onlyinboards.com/Details.aspx?ID=32808 Does the 1999 sport nautique have the same hull as super air?

I can't comment much on the boats you posted above, but I will say for that price range you need to skip the dd's and go straight to a v-drive.

Thanks for the response, I have a 20k limit and in northern Illinois im not seeing many v-drives in that price range. Are there any boats you would recommend I look for?

Yeah I guess it would be a little bit of a road trip hahaha. Don't know how many Sangers you can find out your way but keep your eye out for them. They are great boats and you can usually find some pretty good deals on them.

You can find a V-drive for 20k. I live in Central Ohio and we picked up our 01 Sunsetter VLX, lower hours and loaded (everything from heater, dock lights to having the LS1 under the hood) for 20k locally. I had to do some negotiating to get that price but got it done. I realize you may not find quite that good of a deal, but I found other alternatives as well.

Look for V-drives 25k and lower, within a few hundreded miles (that's just a day's trip to buy a boat).

Here are a couple that should be within 500 miles of you.The supra looks like it will need some love but it is a huge boat with low hours. The nautique speaks for itself just add a tower and some ballast and your set
