boardshorts on top of wetsuit?

Who here wears their boardshorts on top of there full wetsuits? Does it make ya feel like a hardcore rider with them on or off? So lets here it what does everybody do. Personally I ride without the shorts on top

Yeah, we've done this already. For me and everyone in my crew, it's boardshorts over wetsuit. Always.

As far as feeling like a hardcore rider - I feel pretty much the same everytime I ride. Not hardcore. Just feel like myself, I guess.

I'm with mitch for the most part, even though I think they do look decent, there is just no real incentive to wear em.

this is just an opinion and "most" of the other pro's agree, no shorts with fulls. shorts over springs and shorty's are fine, but i think it looks weird with shorts over a full for some reason. remember, this is just an opinion. I will say that a full with no shorts and a vest doesn't look as good, but i will not ride without a vest. i will probably get some grief about this, but let's not forget the key words, "opinion" and "most". shaun

Wow....you have got to be kidding me! Just suit... no shorts. If your girl can wear a bikini, you most certainly wear a suit without shorts. One day you'll be in your 60's and wearing a speedo...think about that! I agree with Shaun on this one. All your doing is dirtying up laundry.

I personally dont care what I look like out there. I'm not into fashion while boarding, just having a good time. For me, the few times I have to wear a full suit, no shorts.

good to know i'm right up there with the pros on this one, cuz my pink shorts go over a shorty (actually short pants and a top cuz i don't own a full). for a second there, i thought i was gunna be out of fashion! guess i'd better make shaun my new favorite rider (assuming he can do a raley, of course!

There is no f****** way me go ride without my shorts! They only help you look good and nothing more, but that's the point. Even when it's hot enough, and I am not using a wetsuit I wear a protective slips under my shorts, so I actually can ride without my short even in the summer... but as I said - no f****** way!

Just imagine... you are getting out of the water in front of some cool chicks without short over the wetsuit... "Excuse me, are you some scooba diver?"...

I've never seen some of the european pros riding without short also...

P.S. There are some special days I am riding without shorts... this is when we start the season and ride naked and drunk... BTW there is a "balls grab" out there and the right way doing it is when you are naked... Anyway, not a thing that pros do. One of the benefits I am not getting payed for riding... ghi :-)

I told you - you look good WITH shorts and you look bad WITHOUT shorts. Thats the only reason for wearing shorts over the wetsuit. IMHO.

P.S. If you throw some Backroll-blind-s, S-bends KGB-s and Crow-mobes it dosesn't matter if you wear shorts or not. Wear your grandma's pink small clothes if you want. But it simply looks better if you wear a boardshort...

I only wear shorts over my suit when kiteboarding, because my kiteboarding harness is built into a pair of boardshorts. I dont have a choice.

I dont wear shorts on top and i wear my vest under my wetsuit haha. Heres my argument. When its cold enough to wear a full suit then its too cold for the ladies to be out in their keenies so if there is nothing to look at then I dont feel the need to look "cool".

See I come from a surfing background and would never wear shorts over a suit. Plus I have a phenomenal "Man Bulge" & like to share it with everyone. It is also an effective fishermn repellant, give them a little wiggle and drop the "Don't act like your not impressed", away they go!

Shorts over a wetsuit makes me laugh every time I see them. I love how many of you are saying that you do it because it looks better.

Maybe you "boardshorts over your wetsuit" wearers should also put on a pink polo and pop the collar? It will help your riding just as much as your board shorts and will help you look cool as much as your boardshorts too.

I don't know about you guys, but I'm dressed to impress when I roll out of bed in the morning. I've made the mistake of wearing shorts over the suit with no vest, and wearing a full suit and vest without the shorts. Once I saw the pics I said to myself, "well I'll never do that again."

Something that I will never ever do, is wear a short sleeve wetsuit. Spring, shorty, doesn't matter. HAS to have long sleeves.

I urge all of you you to wear a vest at all times, and if you happen to be wearing a wetsuit, put some shorts on.

Always thought Ruck looked goofy with the full wetty and no shorts in the ads. I just figured he did it to advertise JP's wetsuits.

Gotta go shorts over the wetsuit. If I was surfing it'd be a different deal.

We can argue this forever.... If it isn't about fashion then what is it about? BTW, a speedo is just as functional as boardshorts, but why do people still insist on boardshorts?

I know for sure that I don't want to see my bro's walking around the boat between sets in just a wetsuit (or a speedo for that matter). Call me a homophobe, but that's just me. Ha, ha.
