i was reading ronix's website and when they wrote about parks, it said he was training to get into good shape to prove rumors wrong. first of all, i dont think parks has anything to prove, i mean we all know parks kills it! but i for one would like to see parks back like his old self after the inury. how many of you think that parks will be back able to dominate on the pro tour?and btw how did he get injured i never did find out.

We discussed this recently, so you maybe not see many responses here, but...I agree, an I too would like to see him shock the industry once again with a dominating season or or two.

Parks had surgery on his knee and had some setbacks after the surgery(infection etc.).
All I can say is if he can successfully come back from it it is going to be a real interesting PWT this year. With Harf. Rusty, Soven, fighting for the top spot and throwing Parks in the mix that would make for a great year on the PWT.

yeah, i was talkin with parks in Minnesota at the PWT there last year, he told me that he had had some surgery on the knee, and it had gotten infected. I don't think theres any reason why he cant come back and dominate like he did before. Keith Lyman had some MAJOR knee problems, he's not wearing braces anymore, and Murray tore every ligament and tendon in his knee in 05' and he had a great 06' season.

I remember seeing somewhere, that Parks' pro model was gonna be a roam, i think it was in the Wakeboarding Mag.

The covenant is Pat Panakoas board. The roam is hyperlite. The covenant is Ronix's version of the roam. I'm guessing that it is def. not Parks board because Parks boards are always aggressive 3 stage boards.

no no...the praks thing has nothing to do with spite against hype...he was riding with them forever and the mispelled his name on the site last year...hence "praks"

They could stamp the name Parks on a termite infested hunk of plywood, claim light weight(due to the porous termite caves) & sell a grip of boards. I'm all for the guy coming back but I certainly hope he does a new run. That same one he did for the last 4 years of the tour won't win these days. Not the way Danny & Rusty have been going...

i'd rather keep this thread about parks' riding. But I'm working on getting a new board asap, believe me.

I agree with Big Heavy that he needs some new tricks in his run. I'm sure he still has a few noone has seen in a while, even if he isnt in the condition he was five years ago. It'll be interesting to see what happens.

The rest of the Fox team will be there as well including Danny Harf, Rusty Malinoski, Dallas Friday, and Shaun Murray. Autographs are free and cameras are welcome. Parks has been looking a little thick in the past few videos I've seen him. I wasn't too surprised to hear he got injured in the first place. I don't know the guy, but it started to look like he had a beer gut going on.
