Let's hear your vote and WHY? I get both, I mean you really can't have too many, but I think Alliance does a much better job of actually letting the riders tell the story, seems more in touch with them. WBM seems like it has way too many ads.

I love the life style collage at the end of Alliance. I'd rather have Alliance because it seems more in tune with my perception of the wakeboard scene where as Wakeboard Mag seems to be written for a less informed mainstream crowd.

Alliance all the way, Wakeboarding Mag does whatever World Publications tells them to do, Alliance does more of what they want and less of what the publishers think is popular. Alliance is definitely more in tune with the sport and the athletes. With that being said, I do also receive Wakeboarding Mag. In the words of Doc Holiday from Tombstone, "My hypocrisy knows no bounds."

Seems like Wakeboarding mag gives more useful tip type stuff while Alliance sometimes comes off as the Entertainment Weekly of the Pro Wake community. I still enjoy my Alliance subscription but I'd like to get one for Wakeboarding as well.

Alliance seems to be more "in tune" with the wakeboard community. WBM gives me the impression they edit the mag to sell copies while Alliance edits the mag to present Wakeboarding lifestyle and culture. I like the fact that Alliance shows good riding who-ever that rider is. Meaning it doesnt need to be a guy thats on the Pro-tour to get a decent pictorial. WBM is starting to publish these photos more often recently, but it used to be that you could only see the Norcal boys in alliance's mag. Plus I love all the "Not beer" pictures, lol.

I'll have to disagree here. WBM, in my opinion, has more articles on how to and more information on wake events where Alliance seems more like long interviews with pro riders and in depth coverage on everyday details of pro riders lives. I am just not as enthusiastic about a bunch of elite pros getting together to arm wrestle and play put-put golf as I am about in-depth coverage on new gear and events and how to trick tips. Just my two cents. To each his own.

Wakeworld is better than any magazine out there. The info is more in depth and I get it much sooner. The best part about wb magazine is the pics.

I like em both! I think they both are well done magazines but together by talented teams of people who love wakeboarding. Can you ever have enough wakeboarding info? :-)

Chase, those are very enlightening numbers. 43% to 47% isn't that much difference. I get a lot of my stuff published by WBM (Plug) Check out page 88 of the April 07 issue, but I submit to both. I read both mags and from a photographers standpoint the advertisements are just as important to me. The photos are just as sick as any sessions, pulse or framed shots. Don't forget, without sponsors we wouldn't have wake specific boats, new boards, better floatation gear, pimped out stereo systems and generally wouldn't be the coolest people on the lake.

Neither. While both are up with the pro riders on lifestyle/riding, they both completely miss the mark on the true pulse of wakeboarding...the local peeps and crews who ride their usual places with anyone, and have a great time doing it. I would love to see an article on the CIE boys, The Austin TX scene, The Arizona Wakeboard Association, pro shops in Georgia, etc....

I'm a big enough fan of wakeboarding and wakeskating that I need to have whatever's out there. Wakeboarding, alliance and now The Standerd cater to a different audience. Some will respond to a specific periodical (and not really give a crap about any other) and some will be down for the different view points and angles that each can present. There are some things I don't like about alliance and some things I don't like about WBM, but I can look to either one and pretty much balance it all out. And Of course, I can hardly wait to see what josh and joey come up with. The online outlets are sweet as well because they can focus on and present projects that the magazines can't touch, don't have room for, or just don't really focus on. Whether that be your average joe on the lake who's super into riding, or interviews and projects that might otherwise be chopped because of space constraints. Anyway, the point of all of that is I think they're all good and everyone contributes in some way to round out the information and coverage of what we are all really interested in.

Hey Brett. I was beginning to think I was the only one that saw it that way. Like I said though, I still enjoy my Alliance subscription but don't really need a transcript of Aaron Reed and Chase Heavener's Instant Message conversation. I did like the Kyle Murphy interview in that edition though.
