Hi Bryen,

Can I give you a little advice. Newbies are more than welcome to come and post threads and ask questions on this site. However they tend to ask questions that have been repeatedly asked over and over. Consequently not too many people respond to thier threads. The best thing for you to do when you want to know anything and to educate yourself on wakeboarding is to do a "search" On the upper right corner underneath the sponsors ads is a "search" button. Click on it and type what you are looking for.

For your question you asked here I have found several threads related to your question. It only took me about 15 seconds to do.

Bryen, another suggestion is that you don't need to create a new thread each time you have a new question. A lot of your posts are similar – questions about 3 stage and continuous rocker and which board to get. I counted 12 threads related to rocker and boards. Stick with one thread and you might get more answers.

Bryen, dont worry about it.

I have both types of boards (at least did until somebody stole the byerly anyway). The abrupt gives a better pop off of the wake but in my opinion was a lot harder to control and learn to be consistant - and if you are even remotely new to the sport you need consistency.

I now ride a Hyperlite Premier with a very subtle 3 stage and I like it a lot more. Its a lot more consistant but still gets plenty of pop. I thought I was sacrificing some pop until I watched some wakeboard vids and noticed how many pros ride the premier and they get a hell of a lot higher than I ever did with my abrupt 3-stage.
