The Omega looks a lot like the 2003 substance. Can anyone verify this, or is it just a similar shape with same fin setup?

I am a rookie and was going to get that board but decided to go with the team/sphynx package. The board looks sweet though.

the substance is the same shape for 2003-05. The Omega is kind of a spin-off of the substance shape. It has a less agressive rocker and a little less agressive profile. I haven't ridden it but I would imagine it to be like a substance but even more forgiving and more of a free-ride feel.

Are you sure the substance is the same for 2003-2005. In 2004 I read how they changed like the shape of the tip or something like that. It wasnt something i really pay attention to, but I do remember hearing about a small change.

From the 2004 Board description: There are some changes to Shawn’s ride this year. He’s added some thickness to the nose and tail for strength and also ran the molded in side fins a bit farther back on the tail for extra control.

Hey guys, I was thinking about purchasing the Transit Bindings. What do you guys think of these. I heard there is a difference in sizing between Hyperlite an LF bindings.

hey brian, you might want to try them before buying them, got 2 pairs of large narrow (1 sphynx & 1 transit), sphynx fit perfectly, can put the tranist for more than 20 secondes, they re hurting my feet real bad, try them before later,

I think the Alpha´s are great, but the Sphynx´s even better. I ride a LF Team with Alpha´s and a Hyperlite Byerly with Byerly bindings. I prefer the LF-equipment. As mentioned above, you better try them on before buying because the sizes and shape varies a lot from different feet.

Yep, I would 100% try them on 1st. I use a XL Hyperlite, and L LF.

it depends on the boot model too. I had XL Ultras I couldn't stand for more than 15. gave them a break-in season and everything. Now XL Sphynx and I love them. so its not just hype or LF

Wow! Can't believe the Transits hurt yor feet. I think they are the most comfortable binding I have ever had on. Buying another pair for my other board. Well, I guess that is the reason you try on and demo if possible. I know the Alpha's, Spinx, and Transits are all great. Hope you find one you like.

Ultras and Transits fit a little smaller than Alphas and Sphinx, or at least they did on me. Dave, I wouldn't buy an Evo unless you're really a beginner. The Omega is something you can grow with. Has anyone bought the limited ed. sphinx? I would like to see pics of that snakeskin mounted on a deck.
