Why does he always switch edges before hitting the wake? And he only does spins? Is he just riding the way he wants or....i just dont understand why youd want to do a toe back 1 on your appraoch in and then launch a huge 540 wake to wake... I respect him for doing his won thing, its fun to watch but how annoying would it be to have to keep turning around b/c he falls on a ollie 3 coming into the wake....

because he rides how he wants to ride not how you think he should ride. how boring would wakeboarding be if eveybody rode exactly the same way? Collin is the man

I enjoy watching him ride. I hate watching same old trick done the same way by different riders. That is why to me watching contest on Fluel TV can be boring. Same Trick over and over again, but maybe a longer grab or more out to the flats. I think Colin Wright loves to wakeboard and he only does it his way. That is his own style.

I'm surprised that Collin didn't get any play in the Alliance article on freeriding vs tournements. He is one of the true freeriders out there today still making it. And he definately had influence in the westcoast style movement.

One thing I can say for Colin is that Colin rides for Colin and no One Else, he rides the way he wants. BTW he can do just about every mobe.

Agreed with the above mentioned sentiments. Colin is BY FAR one of my favorite riders to watch. I think a BIG reason he doesnt get more video play is that he makes everything look so easy, smooth and effortless. Ever try some of those 180's into the wake into a BS spin? Lots harder than you would think.

Hahahahahha Scooter in Person man! I think that he tosses a few in Inuendo to But I dont rememeber. I got to ride with him in Oregon a few times, both being on The House team at the time. I asked him about his style and he straigt told me, i like to spin man its fun, and WAY harder than flipping. I have to agre with him, really a pioneer on things like Shifty spins, tic tocs, TS Blind spinnin, rewinding spins. I love the vision he has for wakeboarding. To bad he hung up the old wakeboard, we need more people like him.

My favorite Colin section is in "Monkey On a String", so stylish. And like Andy said he can do all the inverts, just chooses not to. Props to him.

"To bad he hung up the old wakeboard" is he on the skate now, or doing nothing? I loved watching him ride, but I could never keep up with whatever board company he was riding with.

i remember a while back one of the mags had a sequence shot of him jibbing a pipe. but it wasnt just any jib. colin comes in wrapped and hits bs spin out of it and onto the pipe. it was awesome. it really blew my mind.

Honestly I would like any one out there who is questioning his ability to try and to a ts bs 180 tic toc and then even try and clear the way let alone toss a frontside 5.
