30x40 with 9' doors that are about 5" to short to clear a tower . If you build, do atleast 12' walls.

With my old boat inside:

Yea i am still debating doing a 3 car extended attached garage, or doing a addition detached for boat and toys

...and yes, it barely fits with the tower down.

Nothing like some of these but it works... Exterior trim not completed in this pic. Still needs paint, insulation, electric, etc...

20 x 28... Still have 2 or 3 feet on either end of the swim step and front of trailer without swinging the tongue.

J/k, that's a pretty incredible setup. I have a friend who has 2 hangars on his property for his planes and the punk won't let me store my boat in either one of them. Bastard. lol

I like most of the people viewing this thread am extremly jealous!

My garage is not as fancy and I don't have enough room. I can barely find a spot to put my boat! Life really sucks!

Heck I even have to leave a few cars out front in the rain! I really wish I could afford a bigger place!

LOL Wouldn't it be nice! Well now that I've woken up from my dream like state I guess I'll go out front and see if the tarps still covering my boat in the side yard! Might have to run to Wal-Mart and Buy another one for $10 if I have any room left on my credit card! lol

That would not hurt!!! We are just getting it finished, and have a list of others that want to come in, but we can chat.

^^^ Now that's what I'm talking about, Kenny! That is LEGIT!

You should add board racks, a place to hang vests and wetsuits, and a BIG ice machine... you know the kind I'm talking about: the ones you see at motels with a large opening and big scooper inside.

That is a KICK ASS place. I wish I would have thought of that when I built my place 3 years ago. We have 3 stalls and I didn't even think to make one bigger like that. Very smart !

my fancy garage...
got tired of the tickets from having it parked in the front side yard. so just cut down the fence and made it a big gate. park it in the back yard now.
only pic i have, from our rare snow storm in texas.

That ice machine would be so ideal... I need to buy at least a deep freeze and fill it with bags of ice for the summer.

What size garage door is that on the house Kenny? It looks like there is plenty of room to spare for the X-Star.

Wow, there are some nice set ups on here!

Mine is pretty modest, 22'x 28', but it works.

... and, only 25 feet to the water

Thanks for all the compliments, we love our house. The garage door is 10' X 12'. 10' high was cutting it too close and I didn't want to worry about making modifications after the house was done. If I remember correctly, the boat garage is 14' X 30'.

Aaron, your garage is perfect and I will probably do something very similar in the next couple years.

Has anyone put in radiant floor heat in a garage? What is the additional cost to do that? I would love to not have to winterize and take the boat out a few times during the winter!

I need to get a pick of ours next time I'm down. We have a 30 x 60 building on concrete slab. Cinder block construction with metal roof. Right now it holds 3 boats a jet ski and a truck with plenty of room leftover.

Lots of very nice set ups. I have only been able to pour the pad for mine (23 yards of concrete) but haven't built anything yet. For now I just claim the 15000 square feet at work. Here are some pics.

It is nice to find a thread where I can hate each person equally. I was in Coronado this weekend and this guy who had a house on the water had an entire boat ramp system under his yard. He hit a button and the lawn lifted and the retainwall moved out of the way and the ramp automatically went out to the water (you couldn't see any ramp before it started) so the boat could be taken out automatically from the garage. I didn't have my camera, but it was insane.

He also had a turnstile parking garage under his house. Pretty much hated everything about him.

As much as you hate that guy, you have to go back and get a video or some pictures of that setup. After that, you can punch him in the gut and leave.

Well, I will say it like this brother. Do the work from 18-35 then you can relax and play. I own an insurance company, I am 35 with 4 kids and all I do now is check the office each day, play golf, surf, wakeboard and do stuff with my kids. But, I put the work in the last ten years to get here. Work hard then play harder!! Your Dad would agree I am sure since he is very successful as it looks.
