I totaled my truck this winter and i havnt been able to get enough money to get a new one. I was thinking about how bad this summer is going to blow if i cant tow my boat to the lake. Anyone got any words of encouragement. Also I was wandering if there are any high rollers with wads of pocket cash that could send me some in the mail. Just a little helps lol

Yeah! Make friends with someone that owns a truck.

You want cash for nothing? Go stand on a corner like the other bums

I noticed you're in Texas, Wade. I was born and raised in the Lone Star, and I've never seen a deficient amount of trucks on the highway. You gotta know someone who owns a truck or tow-capable vehicle?

You can't drive......you're only 2 1/2! (profile)

Have you thought about high-and-dry storage?
How about renting a slip, keep her in the water all the time. You could drive to your boat after work, jump in and go! (There, problem solved)

just get an old truck. Any old chevy with a 350 will pull a boat. You can get one for about $1000 bucks and it will tow all day long.

I have a friend in the same situation as you, his nickname is Fresno. He has a boat, but no truck. His new nickname is "Fres-Yes I have a boat & Fres-No I don't have a truck". That was my fun story of the day, good luck with the truck.

Ya you would think me being in texas i would have trucks like running me over on the way to the mail box but none of my friends want to pull my boat. and its in a slip now and i enjoy it alot but i have to move and to rent a slip at the marina will cost an arm and a leg. Im getting a job at the marina that will kinda make me happy

If they don't want to pull the boat sounds like they don't want to ride either. I would pull any of my friends boats with out them having to ask. As long as I'm on the water I'm happy.

If there are high rollers throwing cash around, my truck isn't totalled but it might get better gas mileage if it was.

Aaron brings up a very good point there. If I had a truck that could tow a boat, I'd def' pull my buddies boat.

As Columbo comes out...
"Oh ya man all my friends dont have towing capable cars"

"but none of my friends want to pull my boat."

Ah, could you explain to me again how none of your friends own a vehicle capable of towing?

Tough luck man, hope you can get your hands on a truck by the time it warms up. If there were anything I could no I would do it but I can't do anything. Sorry to hear about your loss.
