Gary, you'll like the Red Tide. For being only 5'6" long it FEELS like a BIG BOARD. You'll be able to free ride it the first day, is my guess.
That board has 3.25" futures fins, which are pretty short compared to the typical 4" fins. Once you get your "surf legs" you'll be able to do floaters and with some effort (lots and lots of effort
) you can do a surface 3 on that board. As you progress, keep in mind - I swapped a pair of 2 inch fins that I had hand shaped and that loosened the board up quite a bit too.
