starting to want a good flash for my new d80 for indoor portraits, parties, etc. possibly some fill flash for outdoor shots. is the sb-800 worth it? i really won't ever be using the sb-800 to the full potential, but is the extra battery slot and little bit of extra power worth the price tag and the slightly larger size/weight?

the question has been asked a hundred times online, but i wanted this boards feedback.

I have the SB-400 for use with my D80, it's a little anemic, if I were to do it over again, I would go with a 600.

I use the SB-800 , have no regrets, and it will give you more photo possibilities later on. Here are a couple info links that might help you make a decision.
Good luck Bruce.

i have both the sb600 and 800. when choosing between the 2 definately go with the 800. it has more features like strobe lighting, it can fire off other flashes, and it is a stronger flash, plus it comes with a diffuser.
