My buddy has a 2001 SAN with Perfect Pass Pro on it. How do you fine tune it? The speed is not right and when you floor the boat to get on plane it goes WWWWWAY to fast then slows down too much, then goes way to fast again...I just drive it without using the PP. How do I adjust it to make it work right?

Some of this sounds like how you are throttling it at start. As you get close to the set speed when getting on plane, start backing off the throttle manually a little so that you do not overshoot the speed. If you over shoot it too much, it will over correct, but eventually it should get dialed in.

If this is not the problem, you can also adjust the settings on how fast the PP computer adjusts speed and if you call PP they will help you out. This is one company that has awesome customer support.

Don't leave it floored. Just take off normally as if you don't even have perfect pass, then just overshoot the desired speed by only 1 or 2 mph. The PP takeover should be unnoticable.
