Hey guys,

So, i sent in my 2007 Imperial about a month and a half ago, and after a far too long process received a beautiful 2011 B-side in the mail.

Of course, now I'm back at school and won;t be able to ride it until who knows when, our team's boat is down. Shoot me.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but these puppies haven't even begun to be released yet... Should i wait it out, or get the puppy on the 'bay ASAP?!

I'm dying to tear that plastic off... but will hold off for now!

thanks!

Well that makes me feel a bit giddy! I have a warranty replacement for my old B-Side processing right now. Maybe I'll get the 2011 as well.....that would make Davey a happy boy

so a company in a small industry agrees to warranty your 2007 board for a 2011 and the first thing you think is "get the puppy on the 'bay" ? wow. Go ride the board and be happy.

Actually, yes. A beautiful new board sitting in my (small) room for 8 months unridden is no good on many levels. Feel like I'm hoarding something away, rather than letting someone get some use out of it!

Bc- seems like thats what they're shipping! Hoping for ya! Get pics tonight...

Here is a link to the design firm that did the graphic: http://morningbreathinc.com/

They do quite a bit in the music industry

did they do the board that says "trust the suits" on the bottom this year? seems to me mr. kent is trying to indoctrinate consumers into the not so wonderful world of multi national umbrella companies.

I just got a replacement for a 2007 hyperlite imperial 140 that was delaminating real bad with very little use. I just opened the box and wow, the artwork on the 2011 bside is not what I was expecting at all... Hyperlight was great in replacing the boat and taking care of me, but if I had known this was what I'd get I might have taken another option...? I had to search this site just to make sure this board wasnt a joke, but while I'm here I'll post a pic for you guys.
Generally I dont really care what the board looks like, as long as it performs how I want it to. But my first impression out of the box was not great, maybe the art will grow on me over time. But this is a bit over the top for me... a kid playing with dynamite? And Asian characters, what do they say??
Props to hyperlite for great customer service. I've been happy with their products and have a bunch of their boards. I guess we'll see how this one rides!

WOW not a fan of the graphics at all. What is the difference btw the 2010 and 2011 B-side?

I have a replacement for my 07 B-side coming this week as well. Same new B-Side as above. I'll agree that I am not a fan of the graphics either but at the same time I don't really care. I picked up my old B-Side cheap and to get a replacement that is an 2011....I'll take it.

There is no difference in construction from 2010 to 2011. The graphics are different and the finishing process has been refined a little. Sorry that there are a few of you that are not stoked on the graphics this year, it is definitely the complete opposite as last years graphics. I just got back from Surf Expo and the majority of people I talked to so far have been stoked on this years graphics. I am sure that if you are not 100% stoked on the graphics or if you liked last years graphics better there would be a few people that would be happy to trade with you. Heck, I will even trade my personal 140 if you cant find anyone to trade with you. Either way, if you haven't ridden the board yet you should get a couple sets on it if you can. Butch really stepped up with this board and it is my favorite behind the boat and under the cable too. Pair it with the System bindings and Kobalt boots and it is a dream machine. Hope this helps.
