I just bought 2 12" jl w6v2 and a jl 1000/1 amp for my boat. I needed to know the best way to run the wires from the amp to the speakers. I heard each speaker needs to see 4 ohms. What does that mean? I know alittle about this but not much!

I'm pretty sure those subs are dual 4 ohm subs and your amp is stable down to 1.5 ohms. You can either wire the subs into 4 ohms and only get about 500w out of your amp or run them at 1ohm and put a lot of stress on your amp. Run everything in parallel for 1 ohm OR each sub in series and the two subs in parallel for a 4 ohm load. Its very hard to explain how to wire this without a diagram. I recommend going to your local stereo shop and asking them to show u. Sorry i can't b more help without a pen and paper.
