The Grinch Winch

I was wondering about the grinch winch (or any other wakeboard-specific winches) and if they used a centrifugal clutch like a go cart and how they adjusted the speed. Anyone know?

im pretty sure they use a torque converter.

Check out pulldozer winches. Theyre on myspace and can order and contact them from there.

Build one! Most use a Torq-A-Verter or something similar.

Anybody in the North use there winch in the winter on the snow with a snowboard to hit rails?

there is a new winch that was unveiled at the Utah (because it was designed in and is based out of utah) Boat Show called the "outlaw" that is advertised to both wakeboarders and snowboarders.
it seems there is a website for it, but it's definitely still under construction.
It had to be one of the beefiest/ strongest ones i have seen,... but this coming from a guy who does not know much about winching. it just seemed more "controllable" and "customizable" than others i have seen.

i'll have to try to find a flyer on it that i picked up and scan it... 'course, things might have changed since then, since it is new to the winch market.

i have a pond\lake in front of my house that is entirely on my property and seems like it would be perfect to throw some rails in.. We were out trying to plan it yesterday and came across the idea of putting a cable system up.. My friend thats helping me has a construction company so we are going to try the do it yourself method.. I seriously need a lot of advice and such.. what type of winch system, and what all would be needed? any help is greatly appreciated
