This is the first time were taking the boat up there and the first time going to a pro tour stop so I was kinda wondering what to expect and where to launch at. Also I have friends that live downtown so I can keep the truck and trailer there but I'd rather leave the boat in the water over night are there any marinas anyone can recommend?

Volunteer landing Marina (downtown)...It might be packed because thats where they will keep the tour boats, I would call them to see if you all can work something out. (tell them Brad Riddick from UT told you about them).... ORYou could tie it up at Calhouns on the river and leave it. I know there are some vol navy boats tied up there getting ready for football season to kick off.

There was a fairly easy access public ramp about 3 miles downriver, I can't remember what it was for the life of me, sorry. Just make sure you empty your bilge and fat sacs afterwards, there are invasive mussels in that river and you wouldn't want to bring those home...

The spot down river is beside the marine base on alcoa highway. It's public and free. I have used it many times without issues during boomsday. I have heard of a few break ins so take your valuables if u leave truck there. Not sure about over night docking but I am sure volunteer landing or calhuns would be your best option.

Thanks for the advice guys, I'm gonna start calling some of those places shorty, do boats still need tickets to get into the event? How are the cops on the river?
