Tennessee River Huntsville, AL. Not the greatest spot for riding but at least it's always empty. (I feel bad for ya'll west coast riders having to deal with crowded lakes, lots of cops, and too many rules)

Steve, that's what is good about the Delta. Its not a lake, its a river hundreds of miles long. It gets busy, but there is always butter to ride on, no matter what day of the week it is, what time of the season it is, or even if its a holiday weekend.

and on the delta when the cops are in full force those hidden, less traveled sports are free of the 5-0 and the idiots. although this time of year is probably the best time to ride because you can ride right out of any marina and have butter and no one in sight. plus the weather is still descent.

Medicine Lake is my primary one. But also Fish Lake, Bryant Lake, Lake Minnetonka...the list goes on. Ya gotta love the Minneapolis Metro Area. Tons of lakes to choose from all no more than 10 minutes away. Basically it depends on the wind. You can usually find glass 7 days a week.

Monongalia, Allegheny and Ohio Rivers in Pittsburgh, PA. What used to be a steel city, has now cleaned up, and offers great riding condtions.
