Aaron has been a big presence on the Delta and gaining more well deserved respect for his shredding. Congrats Aaron on the new board and hope to see you at some more DRA and local events.
Aaron was quoted as saying "The Slingshot boards are so crazy. The first ride I took on one all I did was tail press it around and watch it flex, it was awesome. Plus, the landings are so soft, I'm pumped to be riding them." (quote in Alliance wakeboard magazine)

Seems Slingshot is getting the attention of some talented riders. I will admit it has peaked my curiosity.

However, it does beg the question as to why someone would leave Liquid Force. Is there more to this story?

Can you get fired for stringing together a few too many bad sets?

I haven't rode another board since I tried out the slingshot..

Chase here's how it goes...

Aaron Aubrey on LF = small fish big pond
Aaron Aubrey on Slingshot = small fish on small pond

He just opened himself up to tons more exposure and ad possibility. He probably gets a higher photo incentive too.

Mike speaks the truth...but that's because he's been riding those wakeskis so much that he simply hasn't had much time to ride much else!

Hopefully they'll give Aaron the respect he deserves. He's a Delta OG and a cool guy.

IMO... Slingshot is doing a nice job of putting together some really stylie freeriders. Jared Couch, Jeff House, Jeff McKee and now Aaron Aubree. Nice Job. That's a sick crew.

And Rhett Whatley (SP?).

They put together a super stylish little team and I think all in all, it was a really good move on the riders parts. This will up their exposure x100 because every one of the riders, who are very talented, were shadowed by other riders on their team. I expect to see a lot more shots of these guys in mags this up and coming year.

Is Slingshot gonna be in Mission Bay Saturday Morning with 2008's for demo, I thought I saw it somewhere that they were.

I just needed confirmation.

For some reason slingshot's team and attitude seems to remind me of double up. I am not sure why, how or if it even makes any logical sense; but they give me a perception of the old DU.

The program Aaron was on with liquid force was only flow. LF does not have a great grassroots program. SS was willing to give him the exposure he deserves and much more

Congrats to Aaron, I think the Slingshot boards will complament his style, seems like a good match. Along with the above mentioned free riders, Couch, House & McKee, Northwest ripper Brandon Robins is also repping Slingshot these days. Love to be in the boat for that team photo shoot.

I thought Aaron Aubrey was from Virginia?

Don't forget Travis Propst, Mid-Atlantic ripper. Ex LF rider too.

Bottom line…The slingshot team kicks ass. Everyone on the team has their own unique reasons for joining. Our team is the most close-knit family that I’ve ever been a part of and that’s rad! Did I feel like a small fish in a big pond with liquid? Not really. A better analogy would be a small fish suffocating on the land next to a big pond that is being stocked full with all sizes of fish. Now, with Slingshot, there are no fish or ponds. Just wakeboarders that happen to all think along the same lines.

I predict many more board companies following slingshot’s lead (once again), this time with team structure. If you see someone that is on the slingshot team, then they are part of a team that actually knows about them and receives recognition for their attitudes and efforts. Today, many companies spread themselves so thin that every kid in town can say, “I ride for (insert board company of their choice here).” That’s easy!

I have a lot more to say but I would like to bite my tough now. Although, I can say (without any bias) everyone should try a board with no channels, grooves, phasers, spines, canted anything, hooks, double concave madness, turned down rails, or anything other than a flat surface and small fins. The two companies I remember having such simplistic technology are double up (B.N.L.) and thruster. Add flex to this and it’s a beautiful thing. Just like riding a leaf spring!

Slingshot

^^^^I think thats only if your riding too short of a rope, close enough so that he can spit on you
