This has probably been covered before, reason I ask this is.

Someone started a thread about pointers on Havasu, and many people thought it was not worth there time do the chaos of the place.

Is Powell the same deal? better or worse?

and which has better scenry, as the rocks and canyons and such

thanks guys/gals!

Powell vs Havasu there really is no chance for Havasu. Powell is an amazing place that just needs to be seen. There really is no chaos or party cove, you party with the people you came with on the houseboat. Havasu is pretty wide open on if it blows your done, at Powell its so big you can usually always find good water to ride.

btw I am packing right now, leave tomorrow.

Havasu is no comparison to Powell. If you want to mainly party, Havasu is it. Other than that, in almost always, Powell beats it hands down.

Jeffery covered it with Powell.

Though amazing, there is no real gathering party at Powell, you make your own. Memorial can get crazy at drive in beaches, but that is really a place for people without boats.....

Just remember to check your anchorlines before you leave the marina and never try to beach near a nice Malibu VLX in a steady wind.
