drums are my main thing but anyways.

congrats melody, im trying to get my little 4 year old bro to go. he tried it, got up, then decided he was afraid of the open water. Its impossible to convince him to go in now. I think hes scarred for life ha.

Corey thats awesome that you have gotten your little bro up....tell him not to be afraid of the water go out there with him and show him that there isn't anything to be afraid of. I stayed out there with my little girl until she was comfortable with it and she told me to get back in the boat! Good luck with it and I hope that he doesn't give up that easy.

I rock the electric triangle when I play, I also dabble in the cowbell in my free time.

Nice job getting the little one up! I couldn't get my cousin to try till he was 9 or 10 or however old he is!

I landed a couple backroll today for the first time behind our bayliner. I can land them consistently behind the san 220 that I take lessons behind. But I think I did something to my knee. I was hitting double ups and the wake wash over a little at the top which tripped my board and I landed on my side slash stomach. I dont know what happened but I had alot of pain in my knee as soon as that happened. I am thinking about getting a Hyperlite premier board. Has anyone rode it?}

well...today my pop increased tremendously... getting a lot more height/consistency behind my i/o... it makes a decent wake but its so wide, i only cleared the wake once today and that was at 24mph, and being my first year, i hate falling at 24 mph... i almost landed a switch hs 180 first try

went for my first raley got extension, flipped to my back and POW... i really have no reason to go for a raley, but i got em so great on the trampoline every time that i have to now... i'm gonna try 1 every time i go

concussion here i come!

I was getting huge air this weekend. I was told I was getting a good 2 feet higher than usual. All because I run cross country at school, I guess running doesn't suck any more if it will make me wakeboard better.

She's been hurtin' too. Been ridin' anyway. 2nd. in USA Nats last week, and 4th. in WWA Worlds this week. Not a bad year all in all. Time to take a long break and rehab. You'll see what that's all about shortly!!

Just stay with the rehab, don't back off, and you'll be riding strong next spring.

do you know anything about riding with a brace after i get cleared to ride again or is it better to ride without one so i dont become dependent on it
Old     (headhunter)      Join Date: Jun 2007       08-29-2007, 6:36 PM Reply
Your doctor and physical therapist will advise on those details. Mostly depends on how well your body responds to the surgery and therapy. Just keep a good attitude and strict therapy regiment, and you'll be fine. Just a long healing process.

Caleb, since your sponsered what do you have to do for your shop. Ive been wondering about this alot since read you were sponsered earlier in the post.
Old     (dlwsrider)      Join Date: Apr 2007       09-02-2007, 6:49 PM Reply
well, really all i have to do is help out at boat shows when they need it, go and compete at tournaments and wear their hoodies and shirts on the podium, and obviously send people to the shop and drop good words for them.

and for my sunglass sponser, i put the stickers on the board, wear my sunglasses on the podiums, and recomend them like crazy.

and sometimes its just other stuff like letting people try your board, sunglasses, and alot of products that your sponsers give you and encourage them to get the same stuff from your sponser

So I took a lesson and I went back to the basic tricks to get a good foundation and consistency. I was never consistent with my HS FS 180s so we worked on those and i am getting consistent with those. TS and HS half-cabs are getting easier, waiting for the height of the jump for TS 180s, and am now holding my grabs and tweaking/poking them out. My progressive edge is getting better and I am more comfortable switch riding.

If anybody hasn't taken lessons I would highly recommend it, it helps a ton.

I'm not sure what division probably novice. This is pretty much a solid run except for my half-cab and hs 180s, but I am stoked to compete.

good luck for sure man.

what do you guys think about this run for INT Expert at nationals?

Off Axis stalefish half-cab
tantrum
scarecrow
Melon glide 180
toeside backroll

Toe roll to Revert
heelside 360
switch heel 360
tail grabbed backside 180 (land wrapped)
toeside 540

i gotta get it down so we will see.

and im keeping my skate run under wraps cause im looking for a podium finish at natioinals.

and i have a secret about the wakeskate im going to be riding at nationals, all i can tell you is its a prototype board, and if you wakeskate, your going ot be super jelous

I know some stuff about it so far.

It's very unforgiving, but this can be easily fixed by rounding off the edges on the bottom layer of the bi-level, that will make it MUCH more forgiving.

It weighs a tad under 13 pounds, but it feels like a normal deck under your feet, how they pulled that i dont know.

it comes in a 42" or a 44", but each feels about an inch shorter than they really are.

The pop on the board is immaculate, my sponser said that after he demo'd it at radar, he had never had so much pop in his life.

and the board is a mixture of wood and composite, so it has the feel of both.

My Sponser's pro shop manager said that after he rode it, he never wanted to ride another skate again.

this board is very advanced, but its better to grow into a board than out of one

but my personal opinions will come if i get my deck intime.

yeah i went to the doctor (hes cool, hes helped me alot before with wake injuries), and he gave me this list of excersizes for my knee, and i have to wear one of those braces for my knee for the rest of the season, he also told me to take it easy for the next 2 weeks.

i feel extremely fortunate, and he said that if my knees werent as strong as they already were, i wouldnt be walking
