I just today used the 3M Marine wax. It's a cleaner and polish. They have it at most marine supply stores.

I don't know if its the best but it sure is easy to use. Meguiars Quik Wax Marine Spray on, spread around, let dry and then polish off, great shine. http://www.meguiars.com/estore/product_detailpage.cfm?product=Quik-Wax-Marine-(Trigger-Spray)&sku=M5916§ionID=55301 (Message edited by oliver klozov on August 11, 2005)

Hey Cody - what's up with using Pledge? You use that after you wax?

Anybody else use Plexus? I've been using it for awhile now and I love it. It's not a wax, just a cleaner. You don't need water, you just spray it on the boat and wipe it off. It looks like its been washed and waxed when your'e done. It's also anti-static, so nothing sticks to it. Anybody use it that knows of anything better?

This thread comes up every so often. I thought the 303 on the gelcoat sounded like an interesting concept so I waxed my boat (3M BTW) and then applied a quick wipedown of half 303 and water to just one side. I heard that mixing the 303 with some water helps with some streaks you might get with just straight 303. The 303 side of my boat was easier to wipe down and looked cleaner. I may still wax occasionally, but the 303 has me sold! (Message edited by talltigeguy on August 11, 2005)

David: I use Pledge usually in place of wax, but sometimes I use both (Pledge after Wax). Alot of boat showrooms use Pledge as it gives a great new shine to the boat. I was amazed at how it made my fiberglass look. It can streak, but it just depends on how much you use, and you can always go back over it.

Babe's Boat Bright, it has sun block in it like 303, but cheaper and smells better (that's only important when your wife is helping)

303 works great on the gel coat. Looks a little streaky at first until you get the boat wet and wipe it down. Any Carnauba based wax is great to use. I wax twice a year and then use the 303 to keep it looking great. Some don't even use wax at all and just the 303.........there are probably 5000 different combinations......good luck
