Time for some bigger meat on that truck....

I had the same one leveled with 20X10's and 33's.

She loooves her house! ha ha...she sleeps inside anyway, next to our bed. She is spoiled rotten just like her momma. That house is on a 510 sq ft covered patio too. I guess I could paint it for her.
Ya I plan on bigger tires. I like the stock rims though. But 285/75/16's will be next. The truck only has 12K miles on it..still a lot of meat on stock tires. I plan on putting a programmer in it soon. Then I will have my "FUN" with those tires. After they are gone I will get some meaty ones and try to keep my foot out of it.

Careful on that Allison. It's good up to about 75hp over stock. Anything after that and you take a chance at putting it in limp mode.

Look into an exhaust before you add a programmer. I have a 4" MBRP on mine. Check out www.dieselplace.com for endless Duramax information.

Cool, thanks for the info. Luckily for me I have been watching two of my friends monkey with theirs since 2005. They have done all kinds of things and recommend some and say to never try some others. I think I have it pretty dialed what I am going to do. I have already started on the exhaust.

When you replace the tires go with Toyo MT's and I also vote for a new exhaust before adding the programmer.

Thanks for the nice comments! I love that truck and got a smokin deal on it too. Only 9500 miles on it when I bought it..now it has 12K. Brand new!!! I started on the exhaust already, blowing diesel smoke now. I will check out those Toyo MT's, thanks.

You may not care, bigger/wider tires = less mileage. They look cool though.

Your right Knee Brace. Im getting about 15 right now on the stocks. Fortunately with the programmer you get more power AND better mileage. Keeping the foot out of it my buds are getting 20ish with the 285/75/16's

Yea mine are 265/75/17 (stock 08 Z71) and am getting about the same mileage. No chips/programmer/exhaust/etc. for me until the warranty is gone. And even then, probably not. Mine has a ton of power and gets great mileage for a 2500.

Have fun with it.
