Troubleshooting.....I have no idea

I have a 2003 malibu 23 xti...I have had the boat since 09 and have had no trouble out of it...until now....The other day the boat was running great all day, late in the evening we were routinely changing riders (no trouble at that time)... My little cousin got in the water to wakeboard....(no weight change in the boat).....I started going and my boat wouldn't get over 11 mph...The rpm were going up to 3200..it felt like there was too much weight in the boat, but this was definitely not the problem. The drive was speeding up with the boat, nothing caught in prop..keyway was in the prop, transmission fluid red(not burnt), Any one have any ideas.....

Had a similar problem. Found out the lanyard was just loose so it made the boat act like what your describing. Def an easy fix so worth a shot.

Perfect Pass locked in at 11mph?

Well I turned the perfect pass on and off several times...it was set at like 23
