Clarion head unit swap problem.

I swapped out my Clarion stereo in my 02 X-star from a M5675 to a M475. The only reason was so I had the ipod jack and could still use my transom and drivers side remote....so I thought. After the simple swap, the remotes work, but the mute/pause button doesn't work when the radio is on or when it is on Aux for ipod use. I use that mute button all the time. When playing a CD, the mute/pause button works by pausing the CD. Frustrating. Any ideas?

Dating back to the 2-inch membrane remotes, then the 2-inch display, followed by the oval and 3-inch round, the functions remain operational from source model to model except the mute/pause.

The following models of remotes will work with your M475:

CMRC1-BSS 3" display
CMRC1-SB 3" display
CMRC2-BSS 2" non-display
CMRC2-SB 2" non-display

Your existing connecting cables are fine.

hmmmm.... David, I'm swapping out an XMD1 for a CDM4 pretty soon. Gonna have any problems with that? The boat has 2 remotes, but I'm not sure of the models.
