I've got a pair of 2011 Ronix One boots that I need some repair work done. Bought them off a buddy who only rode them a handful of times. I rode them for three days last weekend, decided I liked them so I bought them. The problem is, I tried to heat mold them in hot water. Apparently the hot water also softened up the rubber piece that attaches the bottom laces around the heel, because when I slipped my feet in and cinched down the strap, the strap tore completely loose from that rubber piece. I didn't even pull that hard. In fact I cinched them down super tight every time I rode, and never had an issue. Maybe I should've used a blow dryer instead of hot water...

Anyhow, I'm going to take them to a local shoe repair shop and see what they can do. My plan is to see if they can replace the rubber piece with a nylon strap and sew it back together. I've had good luck getting my snowboard boots repaired at shoe shops. So I guess we'll see...

Anyone have experience getting their boots repaired?
