We usually hit the delta during the weekdays & then frequent Hogans & Pedro for several camping trips throughout the spring / summer / fall. We had a buddy up there last week & it is as low as I have ever seen, even worse than the when I was a kid in the 80's drought. We are getting some rain today but unless it dumps for the next couple months it's way to little, way to late.

Cali is crazy. We flip when our lakes are down 5 feet here in Texas.

These are not just lakes they are reservoirs. Without them we do not have drinking water. Many of the lakes in the Sierras have power generation plants on them in succession as the water flows down river and from lake to lake. Water is critical to our state and right now we are in trouble.

Does anyone else think someone really screwed up last season? That stats I heard last season was that our snowpack was the best we had seen in 10 years...now all of a sudden its a drought. Or is there more information that I am unaware of regarding this? Did Socal buy a ton of water from us or something?

That stat was perfect until Feb/Mar/Apr when we didn't get any rain. :-(

M-Dizzle... I think you're on the money. I think there was concern about the reservoirs being overfilled so they dumped. It's kind of a gamble when have a big start to the season. Overfilling the reservoirs results in major flooding downriver if they have to open flood gates.

It's sad, but true. I think someone blew it.

We were above average until Feb then we didn't get anymore rain or snow. That put us behind for the year. We are in big trouble this year.

Hey Walt is that where Pillsbury was? I haven't been up there since end of last season WOW

I think after all the snow this year we'll have more flooding in Wisco...

The northern chain in Winter haven is real low still but that means like 3/4 feet....nothing near that.

Maybe some global warming hurricane will hit the West coast and you're golden.

We are usually there the third weekend in May at LPR to startoff the season and from then on whenever we can make the voyage (I tow over the M1 from Upperlake). If we don't get some rain I guess I will be taking the Jeep up this year. Your place must be at westshore - my uncle has a cabin there. When were those photos taken, a friend of mine works for the USFS and he said the docks at LPR are gounded
