I saw a pic of the new 40th Anniversary X-Star in the thread about X-2 colors but wanted to know if anyone else has some pics they can post or if anyone has see the boat in person, what else is special about it besides the graphics.

I saw this boat at the INT US Championships in Louisiana this year. It is an awesome boat inside and out. Those pictures don't do it justice. It looks better in person.

I would have to say that your going to have to have a deep pocket to own one. Other than that it looks cool.

That'd be real nice, if it looked more like a boat and less like a fork... Sick finish on it though, the colour scheme is pretty sweet.

Does anyone know if you can get a different color flake front end or is it only the red? I think that the dark gray flake would look awesome.

^^^^wow! That's one of those comments that might be witty except that it's totally wrong. Metal flake can look absolutely awesome!!! However, I prefer it to be the entire color of the boat. If you've ever seen a solid blue or red flake X-Star you know what I'm talking about.

Happened to go by the MC dealer last weekend. I am not a big fan of their graphics half gelcoat - half stickers? The boats with the kiddee scribble looked like they were trying to cover something in the gelcoat with the graphics? That said there were a few metalflake boats that looked great. If I were in the market for a new MC I would give serious consideration to a flake boat.

Do all the 40th anniversary boats have to be "fully loaded" with options? Can you get them fairly stripped down to keep the cost lower? Also is there a price premium to get the 40th theme?

Ted, would you like the boat if it was a closed bow and had bucket seats like a Vette?

I should correct... My dealership got this and the 197 in. I have to sell mine first (Hint Hint in the Classifieds) before I can slide in to one of these.

Can anyone comment on pricing? Do they charge a premium for the 40th package? Or would you price out like a normal X-star?

There is going to be a premium, but it will not be nearly as much as what the premium was for the PWT Edition in 2007.

Looks really nice... EXCEPT - Is it true that the carpet is black??? I guess people in the Southwest are out of luck.... unless you're a fire walker.

I stopped by Houston Master craft to check out those two boats in person. All I can say is WOW!!! Those are two sweet boats the pictures do them no justice. I met some of the Houston Master craft people including one of the owners. They were very cool people and have a great attitude. I'm going to stop by next week and shoot some pics. I will post them up.

good joke joe, everyone knows the towers suck. The quality control man told me the reason they switched was because they showed less welds. lets get one that doesn't sway and rattle first what do you say?
