Who can do an invert in here. If so do you think it is harder or eaiser then a 360. Also do you have to go w2w? Thank you

inverts are definately easier bc of the handle pass difficulty on the 360. Inverts are mainly going for it and throwing your body in the right direction. Kevin, i think he was talking about 360s wake to wake. I learned wrapped 360s on just one wake then stepped it up to 2 wakes. They say to learn all your 3's this way because it if you cant stay on axis, it doesnt matter how big you take it.

i just landed my first backroll a week ago. i can't do much on a board, few grabs wake to wake.. it was the last run of the season for me (michigan.. ) so i was just like, what the heck, mite as well throw it. so i did, took a few trys to land, but wasn't really that hard (and looking at the video i have of it, the wake was really washed and maybe 8-10 inches high as we had the boad unweighted cause we were takeing it out). that being said, i say backroll is easy, i doubt i could have landed a 360.

it depends on your style. For the 2 basic spins and 2 basic inverts, I learned them in this order 1 hs/fs 360 2 tantrum 3 ts/fs 360 4 backroll (I hit a few hs/bs 360's after learning the fs/hs 3's but promptly lost the trick) Of all of them, I think the toeside 360 was the easiest to learn.

I think some inverts are easier than spins.... Most people probably learn a few inverts before learning 3's....

My inverts consist of a tantrum and a backroll and they were both WAY easier than a 360. Also, on my very first invert(a tantrum) I cased the wake and still landed it. On many of my attempts at a tantrum (before I landed it) I only got three fourths across the wake. So you don't have to go w2w on inverts, but it makes the rotation and landing much easier.

I am totally opposite...I can try 360s with ease(cant land it though) but have more fear trying a backroll. I cant get the feeling or mental part of being inverted in my head! Mike, your TF/FS 360 was the easiest to learn? Hard to imagine... (Message edited by Pierce Bronkite on September 27, 2004)

i landed my first 2 backrolls yesterday and they were both w2w. i think 360s are harder then backrolls because backrolls are alot less compleicated once u get them

i think a 360 is way easier then a backroll, you dont have to go so fast ,and once you get the handle ..you got the trick....

I can land 3's both ways as well as TS 5's some times. I can't land a front roll and have gotten 95% around on a scarecrow. No inverts in the bag yet, but I haven't riden in a few weeks.

I landed HS 3's before anything else but they were very inconsistent. Then I learned a tantrum and then a backroll. Knowing how to do most basic inverts and lots of spins I personally feel spinning is much harder than a backroll or roll to revert. They are so easy you just have to hold on & there is nothing to worry about. I come in on a harder edge for my 3 than my roll, the roll is all about slicing the wake & for a big 3 you have to charge it & really boost it. It's fun that way.

Can do a tantrum pretty easy now after tons of practice, couldn't get close to a 360 until i read something, i think on this site about making sure your off the wake before you attempt spinning, or else you go off axis. i read it, went out the next day and waited a bit longer to start spinning and now, i have no problem with getting off balance. Just let the pull toward your side do all the work, and its quite simple....until you have to grab the rope from behind you back anyway.

i dont agree with the w2w inverts they do look cooler but try doing your backroll from about 5 feet out and just takin it over 1 wake its way easier to learn, and to teach people

zackv if: you ride regular healside backroll, very easy after you learn the timing. It's just a big wake jump and at the top of your pop just flick your toes down and you roll. P.s.have to get to kind of that stall mode in you jump. 360 much harder and crashes to me were much worse. Hypo 303 is right get the handle and you got it.

"It's just a big wake jump and at the top of your pop just flick your toes down and you roll" That is the weirdest desciption of how to do a backroll that I have ever seen.

I learned a 360 way before an invert, as long as you can get the handle pass they're cake. I still can't land a backroll (they freak me out) But I've landed a bunch of scarecrows. Maybe I'll try a tantrum next
