apply to be a coach at a well respected camp. start ur own company that is in some way part of the sport. or for now, while ur goin to college, get into a collegiate team.

I worked at a dealership/pro shop through high school. I'm a senior in college now and I manage the shop. It keeps me busy but I love it. I still get to ride pretty often.

im out in cali. a buddy of mine runs the aquatics school for CSUN. they do classes everyday at a private lake, well not really private but they are the only ones allowed to run a motorized boat on the lake.

I wouldn't worry about it too much, Grant. If you really want to keep riding, you will find a way. Maybe go to a central FL college. Move to the CA Delta area, hook up with people who share your passion for the sport. My job has nothing to do with watersports, but I could pretty much ride before or after work, even lunch time if I want, because I found a good place to live close to the riding, and friends who love to ride as much as I do. This is no coincidence, the only reason I live in a place like Canyon Lake is because of wakeboarding.

Thanks for the advice, thats awesome that you could make it work for you. I just dont know if I could be happy doing a job that has nothing to do with wakeboarding. The sport seems like it is growing so fast that there must be new jobs all the time. Im just trying to find out what I need to do inorder to be involved.

My boyfriend just graduated and is attending college but he also still wakeboards just for fun but at any moment possible. Maby you can do the same and just work at getting better as you go along.
