You were always a legend in my book, but now it's official! Here's a link to the pics from the Wake Awards. It looks like it was a good time

Way to go Greg. My 2nd board was a Double Up. Beauty of a deck.

agreed. I do think it had a bit something to do with his little hiatus from the sport though. either way, I am glad he was finally recognized for being the legend he truly is.

parks got it because he attacked the sport from every angle and became the worlds most renowned wakeboarder.

Congrats Greg!

"Had the most fun, definitely watchin' Nelson. He's just the smoothest, sickest rider. Ever." - Randall Harris circa 1998 filming for MayDay.

Nelson has been one of my favorite riders ever since I saw HIT IT! back in '96. He's one of only a handful of riders who truly possess their own style and stand out among everyone else.

Nelson is, without question, a pioneer. For me, one of his greatest accomplishments was Double Up. There was never before a company like Double Up. The company embodied free thinking, focused on making the sport look good and of course having FUN. Just like Greg himself, the company stood out by doing things uniquely.

To anybody that's new to the sport: You need to check out Greg's riding in MayDay (http://www.boardflix.com/product_inf...roducts_id=197). If a picture is worth a thousand words, at thirty frames per second Nelson's section speaks volumes.

Congrats Nelson! You deserve it buddy! There's no one else link you in the industry and I stoked to work with you every day. Glad I could be there to see you get the award and see the whole crowd erupt when they called your name.

Why is it that this is so pointed towards Hyperlite, Ronix had a covenant and all the brands have leather looking snowboard inspired boots (leather on water is ridiculous). And lets not even talk about snowboard graphics being knocked off in our industry (too many to count).

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the kind words, the Legend award was a huge deal for me and receiving it has got me more and more pumped on our sport. All of the current Legends deserve the honor and the order really isn't that important. I'm definitely looking forward to having a couple more of the crew added to the bunch.

Thanks again,

Nelson
