I have a Clarion EQS746 EQ and I am happy with it.

It seems to work just like it should but when the tunes are really cranking (particulary the sub) the lights on it will dim and flash a little bit.

I have tried a heavier power wire but it didn't seem to make a whole lot of difference.

Just curious if this is normal.

Thanks

Not a power issue, usually a better ground will help.

On big bass hits your probably going to get some dimming of the display. Mine always did.

If it really bothers you, you coudl try adding a small cap ( radio shack) on the pwer/ground feeding the EQ.

I'll try grounding it better and see what that does.

I already have a cap on it.

It isn't a big deal, probably a lot less noticeable once I get it outside and in the sun. Right now it is just in the garage.

I was just curious if this is normal or if I really had a wiring issue.
