Absolute Board Size Question

I'm thinking of upgrading to an 06 Absolute. I'm 5'7" and 165 lbs. I'm wondering how many of you are on the limits for the 135 & 141 and what did you decide and why. At 165, I'm on the higher limits of the 135 and the lower limits of the 141. I'm currently riding an 02 141 Absolute Platinum. Any feedback would be appreciated...

I ride an '05 141 platinum. My weight varies between 155 and 175 and am 6'1", yes I go from super skinny to just skinny. I ride the longer board because the landings felt softer with the larger board and it did not feel much heavier than the smaller board. Hope that helps.

I ride an '05 141. I weigh around 145 and am 6'1" as well -- board feels great. I moved up from a 135, so things felt a bit bigger at first but for me personally this just translated to smoother landings and more control. Your best bet, as always, would be to demo and decide what works best for you - IMO, the bigger the better.

I'm 5'8" and weigh between 145 and 155. I much prefer the 135, but I like smaller boards. If you are used to the 141 then I'd stick with it but who knows, you might like the smaller size. Get ready to get booted, the new shape has a ton of pop. Go finless, the ride is amazing.

I'm almost exactly your size byrd and I ride an '04 141. Moved up from the 134 and it seems to fit me better. If only I could ride better.

To add to this, I've got to agree with Big Heavy - this board is meant to be ridden finless. Definitely give it a shot.

Thanks for the feedback. I can get a 141 pretty easy to demo, but the 135 was more of a pain in the a$$ to get for a demo. I probably wont even waste my time...

well im 5'8" ad 135 and i ride the 135 and love it... but your on the bottom of the 141 and the top of the 135.. but it is the best board out there.. well i think it funny because everyone that i ride with is on the absolute plat 135 everyone is between 135-155

I think that you would be happy on the 141 it should have more pop when you learn how to load it right.

I'm able to load a 02 141 Absolute Plat fine now, I was just asking who is riding, and what size people are riding the 135 to see if it is worth the trouble of demo-ing it. If I weighed 10 lbs lighter then I would probably demo it, but I'm not going to waste my time now....
