Everyone that went had a great ride. It was nice to see the youngsters have fun. I know I had a blast watching everyone ride. Even from the dock since I was the dock starter. Plus we had several from the NWL place on the USAwakeboard podium. It was also awsome to see Corrie Dyer(last name maybe spelled wrong) have a awsome run for the women.

Allie, you spelled Corrie's last name right (Dyer). She hit 4 inverts in her run both days, with no falls. She is only 17yrs old. Great job Corrie!

Headhunter,

We were unable to attend this year as John was in Portland. How did it go? I have not seen much on the event on any website.

Doesn't look like something one would want to post about. Pretty sorry tournament for a "nationals". Not taking away from those who rode in it but to be called a national champion with few if any of the better riders there diminishes the title. There needs to be some qualification when using that term. It looks like there were no pros there.

I didn't even go to that contest when it was an hour from my house. It's just sad if I have a big chance of winning pro men's.

No bibs for riders, no tee shirts,No public attendance, and only 30 competitors, Not much of a show, for a National Title.

I will e-mail Chris Walker tonight and see if he has the list of winners that he can e-mail me and I will post them up here.
HH99- yes there was t-shirts , if you rode they were in your bag. The public was there too. We had several people coming up to the announcers table and other spots asking when people were going to ride since they saw about it in the local paper and on TV. I am not trying to be a brat , but the Indiana crew put in a lot of time and effort to put that show on. I did not spend all day on the dock for nothing. Everyone was there due to the fact they love the sport.

Sorry Allie, you are wrong, nothing for USA National competitors, only NWL riders got goodie bags. As for spectators, slim, very slim turn out. NWL did a good job running the tourney, but not enough promotion. If you think that was a good tournament, go to Reno this weekend for the real deal....

you have me there my blonde moment. I have been to a few pro stops I just cant afford to go out to Reno.

Roger is exactly right. 4 inverts at Reno today would have not made it through to finals in Jr. Women. The girls 13 & under div had more than 4 inverts. Almost everyone that won their division would be in for a big surprise at a WWA event. USA needs to either get their events on par with WWA or quit calling their event Nationals. How can you possibly take pride in a national title when you are the only person in your division?

Correct, 4 inverts did not make it thru, 4 and a 3 did though, definitely the most competitive Jr. Women heat ever run...
