Try to ride as many as you can. That's the only way you are going to really know which one you like best. My vote goes for the Absolute!!!

The o5 CWB Trancend 142 is a sick board or even the 05 CWB Tattoo 144 is a great board as well. IMO the 05 CWB 141 Absolute is one of the best boards on the market. Good luck

I rode a lot of boards this year and the best by far (the one I stuck with the major part of the season) was the O'Brien Valhalla. The board has tons of pop. I rode it finless (no crook fins and no center fins). It tracks well but is still easy to play around with. Dunno where you are checking at buying it but most online places have free shipping for boards and whatnot and have great sales now too. http://www.bakesonline.com/detail.aspx?ID=135 Good luck man.

I have heard good things about CWB boards...but have not ridden any. The Valhalla is what a ton of the O'Brien team riders are on because of the way it pops and it has really soft landings...center spine is amazing for breaking up the water. I guess I am just biased toward it because it is the one I stuck with. Other boards I rode were: Hype 3DS, Hype Premier, LF Omega, LF Substance, LF PS3, O'Brien Valhalla....and stuck with the Valhalla. I have not ridden the Era either...but I wouldn't buy it based on just the graphic...if it sucks to ride all you have is something to look at...try it first. rip it!

If you are thinking the Era, it's a better idea to just go with the Absolute. It is like a super sharged Era. More pop, better landings and dangerous in all black.

I like the '05 Absolute, too. Found my new board, though..... Yeah, um, I've wrastled myself an '06 Absolute Platinum. Love the new platy. The extra stiffness just gives it a different kick (foam vs. platinum core).

They are both sick, the platinum core is a pound lighter, and I think the platinum core has more snap than the foam core like C.I.E. said.

I've ridden the Absolute, Transcend, Prodigy, ERA and Clutch. I would have to say that the Absolute Platinum is my #1 pick out of the boards you listed. Edges hard, releases well off the wake and is very forgiving on landings.
