how do i flush my inboard motor 5.7 malibu

is there any websites with step by step instructions..
i ran over a little mud and sand last week just want to make sure its all out
do i just run a hose to it for 15mins or is there
something use i need to do
any info will help

You need to buy Fake a Lake, it's basically a plunger with a hose adapter. Attach it in the water intake underneath the boat and start the water, then start the engine. This should flush out any mud. Good luck.

You probably won't be able to flush anything out that didn't already pass. I wouldn't worry about it.

Where did you locate the Flush-Pro.....before the screen filter or after?

Mine is before the screen filter, it's inline not far from the intake in the bottom of the boat. Make sure you have the "flow" arrow pointed the right way.

Come on guys, anything that didn't shake loose at speed bouncing down the lake sure isn't gonna come out using a fake-a-lake or otherwise on a trailer after it has sat for a week. Forget about it.

Now if you really think there is something in the block you will need to pull the motor and have the water passages cleaned out by an engine rebuilder. I seriously doubt that it's necessary.
