2003 O'Brien Cobe. Could not stand that thing. And the can-opener Byerly boards... Loved the old 2001 shape though.

Temet/05 Murray is hands down the worst board I've ever ridden and I've been riding since 97.

I don't care much for the Shane. Even though it has plenty of pop, it's not loose at all. Way too locked in for me.

my most hated: hyperlite parks (1st gen) and slingshot recoil. my shane 140 was way too grippy w/ the stock fins. changed out the fins to the smaller ones and they're more loose...loose enough for me.

i thought it was bad ass boards that was first to come out w/ molded-in fins. helix came out MUCH later than the bad ass.

I think the Parks' was the most popular for beginner riders to buy, and everyone else short of experienced riders that knew what to look for in a board. People wanted the board PARKS BONIFAY RIDES. Fortunately for Hyperlite it made his board sell extremely well but unfortunately for all those unexperienced riders the board is not a middle of the road, everyone can ride, kind of board. So I feel the reason it is hated so much is that it sold incredibly well, lots of people were able to ride it, everyone wanted to ride it, and the board is designed for a style of riding typically associated with a much higher level of riding. That said, I expect that board to continue on as the most popularly hated board.

I liked the premier; I rode mine way past it's useable life, but it was slow as molasses. I have just recently picked up a new board and rediscovered the joy of taking tricks out into the flats. The worst board I've ever ridden was an Obrien Evil Twin. that thing was a disaster on water.

It was funny, I loved my first board, the 2001 LF Helix. I then rode it again the other day after several years...man, it is slow as a tank and just altogether sloppy...its reassuring to see that the new boards I have actually are 'better', at least I can argue that to the wife

I can't argue that. I really like the ride and pop but agree with the 1" fins it's way to sticky. I'm riding finless now but hoping to find some .7's but not having much luck. It's a little too loose with no fins.

http://www.wakeworld.com/boardguide/getboard3.asp?ProductID=1004 I don't think I ever hated any of my boards, even this one that landed with all the softness of cement. I mean before this board, I was rocking a kneeboard.

I'm actually a big fan of the original Parks board! It was too locked in but otherwise I had no problem with consistency and liked the soft landings. However, when watching my beginner buddies try to ride it I can understand why it met with the criticism that Paul explained above. 2d generation Parks was horrible though and I'll throw that on the hater fire for sure. I loved how the guy trying to sell me one told me they'd fixed everything from the first generation. Thanks goodness for demos!

I'm surprised there are so many One haters. I love mine. Do you guys hate it because it's too fast and aggressive for your taste? Or because it pops you too high where you aren't used to that?

Im not a fan of the "one" and its has nothing to do with being too fast or popping too high. Prob alot to do with the fact that it wasnt fit for my style of riding. Some people are more app. to certain board companies. Me being LF. Ive rode the shane for 2 years and now the Lyman. I wouldnt say that the one is that much faster or pops that much more than either the shane or Lyman. Just didnt like it AT ALL and honestly my Lyman feels more responsive and forgiving than the ONE. Just my OPINION though

judging by your profile pic, you arent exactly popping that one to new hieghts. Maybe they dont like it because different riders have different tastes. I rode the one, I could see why alot of people like it, but it just wasnt for me

you were right Joe, checked into and bad ass released boards with molded in fins before the helix. but only in 2000 so beat LF by a year... does that count as MUCH later or just a little bit later? oh yeah, and in 2000 you could buy a randy harris thruster with just two molded in fins, so another board that predated the helix... Joe Flotteron...Was your comment directed toward me? If so, first of all, I'm on my way down from a wrapped TS 5 so I'm not exactly at the highest point of the move. That pic was taken on my 2nd attempt at that trick, and I landed my 2nd attempt. I take my tricks much bigger but since I was learning that 5, I wanted to land on apex of the wake rather than in the flats. I'm not talking crap about anyone who said they didn't like the One, I was just asking a question. Don't start talking crap if you don't know me. And if your comment wasn't directed toward me then I apologize for pointing you out. Thanks

Someone in our crew had an Origin Podium a few years back and nobody liked it. I think everybody gave it a turn and then it sat in the river cabin for a couple of years. Otherwise, I haven't been on too many bad boards.

I know this is off the original topic, but I have ridden the Bad Ass "Pod" board shape since it was released. I think the acctual board shape was released with WakeTech's "Byerly Blunt" models and was refined in the "Pod" and is now refined even more with Gator Boards 2005 "Caddy" and "Militant". I absolutely love this board design and have not found anything released on the market that rides better for my style. I'm riding the Gator "Caddy" (2005) and it has been renamed as the "Militant". Looking for one right now since mine is just about to come to the end of it's riding life. Just my $0.02.

I didnt expect haters of the 05 premier DNA. I have one and wont give it up or buy anything else because it fits my riding style so well. It wont fit everyone though. I have a 1996 flight 69 143 that I ride for S&G onec in a while to remind me how far board design has come.
