I have been looking at a 98 Xstar, a 2000 centurion w/ air warrior package, and a 2001 tige w/ taps, which boat would have the best wake?? any opinions appreciated thanks,,,ksmith

I have no boat so I am not much help, but you are probably going to need to list some more specifics about the boats. The xstar is a tried and true hull with the right weight placement. Good luck.

not knocking the other brands, but for those years / models, the X-star is the only wake that is ridable imo. I've ridden all 3 of them.

Best wake blah blah blah. Go demo these boats ride behind them. If you are a newbie its not going to matter in a few years it may. The 205v hull is one of the most storied hulls that was built for skiing and just happened to work out that it throws a killer wake when weighted properly. Hell you can still get that hull in an X1 for 40 - 45k. So must be good. Don't forget to look CC around that time as well.

what 2000 Centurion? They put the Air warrior package on all the boats is it a V drive DD that would make a huge difference since the 1998 Xstar was a DD

the tige 21v or 23v make a very nice wake with ballast. this is before the convex v hull so ballast will help these tiges a bunch. "the only wake thats ridable" what a bunch of bullshizit. true ignorance there buddy. my bud has a huge bag of tricks and can do all of them behind his 21v. so for you to say the wake is unridable is just ignorant! I say try all three and see what you get. Too many people on this board hear MC X-star and get their panties wet.

I second that, demo them all. I rent Tige's, and have had may master craft folks who's boat was in the shop love the tige every bit as much if not more than their mc after renting one. They act surprised because the Tige' they just rented is just as good as their master craft they paid 30k more for. Ignorance can be expensive. Granted a 08 x-star will bring slightly larger wake than a 08 un-weighted rz2, but at what price...

After seeing that it's a 1st gen X-Star, which is absolutely one of the best boats I have ridden behind, then I reiterate my X-Star vote and associated fanboyism.
