Landed My First Raley!

Wow! I landed it on my second try in four years too! (My first had been about 2 minutes before and ended up in a wierd S-Bend that I almost pulled off)

Anyway, I'm not so much posting to brag as to give those of you who are scared to try it some incentive. The fact is that I'm a pretty crappy rider. I'm a heelside hero and can only do backrolls and grabbed fs 180s.

I have a jumping style that is heavy on line tension and I knew that I had the balance so it was a matter of getting the guts up. I just told myself all day: Backroll, 180, then raley. I didn't tell anyone on the boat that I was going to try one because I didn't want the pressure.

I know that so many of you on here are a million times better than me but can't do raleys so man up and get out there and do them! They're incredibly fun!!!

Now, maybe I can learn how to go w2w toeside!

Yea Im with Marc 2nd try in four years I find that hard to believe, however Im stoked you got the trick.This is my fourth season and I am close and I have tried the trick 15-16 times over the last year. I am hell bent on getting it in the next month though.

Josh, I still can't believe you landed it. It was huge. It'll be awesome when you are throwing them left and right.

Did you get your ipod working again after that downpour we had last night?

Congrats.... I landed two of them 2 years ago and have gotten beaten to hell & back since then trying them. I do feel good about the rest of my growing trick list though! ;)

Brad B can vouch for the fact that I haven't tried one until yesterday in four years. Four years ago I was barely even going w2w so they were more just silly attempts.

I guess I just visualized for so long that's why it worked. Let's see if I can land some more!!
